Our copper is mined, refined and manufactured in Northern India, with copper purity tolerances held at 99.7% (.3% mineral phosphorous added for material strength). The sink bowl is pressed from an 11-gauge sheet (results in 12 gauge after extrusion) and the 12-gauge apron is T.I.G. welded to the sink. SINK FINISH INFORMATIONFINISH DETAILS: Natural oxidized copper (patina)COLOR: Dark “Antique” SHEEN: SatinAPPLICATION: Natural oxidation, sealedThis sink has been hand-hammered by a skilled artisan in an intentionally randomized pattern, avoiding uniform “hammer lines”. It features a dark “antique” natural patina (copper oxidation) finish. Given the natural and handmade processes involved, no two sinks are exactly alike. With some variance in mind, RGB value averages are as follows: Hammer ridges (brighter areas): R: 184, G: 142, B: 125; Hammer valleys (darker areas): R: 135, G: 90, B: 71. The higher red (R) and green (G) values in both the ridges and valleys indicate that the raw-copper tones and umber-colored-patina tones are consistent, just in varying shades of brightness.
